The Pilot is Back on the Bench.

After my switch from Naptha (Coleman Fuel) to Hexane I have been able to vaporize the fuel more consistently and avoid flooding. In an attempt to aid in the vaporization I had installed a Stainless Steel cable inside the pilot vaporizer tube. This initially helped with the Naptha but the positive results were short lived. The cable seemed to become a catch all for carbon and began clogging the banjo fittings on the H-Casting. I removed the cable when I made the switch to Hexane but the carbon problem persisted. I thought this problem would dissipate and eventually resolve itself but that wasn't the case. I have removed the pilot assembly and will clean the pilot vaporizer using either a chemical gun barrel cleaner or an ultrasonic cleaning machine. We'll see how it goes...
