A blog about my the history, acquisition and operation of my 1911 Model 62 Stanley Steamer.

An Auburn 66-6 in Stanley Park

Although this is not a steam related article I'm going to take some liberties and post this anyhow.

My grandfather was featured in the automotive section of the August 23rd Vancouver Sun with his 1927 Auburn 6-66 "Wanderer". It's a car he has owned since the sixties and was his first venture into collecting vintage cars. Although it's the smaller six cylinder model, it has the stylish belt line that Auburn's became know for and a very nice tri-tone paint job. It's a painfully reliable vehicle and was wonderful to see it out on display.
